City of Annapolis Planning Commission met March 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commission:

The Planning Commission (PC) of the City of Annapolis held its regularly scheduled meeting on March 1, 2018 in City Council Chambers. Chair Waldman called the meeting to order at 7:04p.m.

Commissioners Present: Chair Robert Waldman, Vice Chair Ben Sale, David DiQuinzio, William Herald, David Iams

Commissioners Absent: George Matthews

Staff Present: Pete Gutwald-Director, Tom Smith, Dr. Sally Nash

C. New Business

Chair Waldman asked staff for an update on the status of Ordinance O-35-17 that was appealed to the Circuit Court. Mr. Gutwald responded that staff agreed to evaluate and assess changes to the legislation to provide to the City Office of Law and the Hyatt Group for review by the City Council’s second meeting in March so amendments are underway. He and Gary Elson are working on these changes. Chair Waldman added that major site design should come before the Planning Commission and believes that this would be the appropriate venue for working out those types of issues.

D. Approval Of The Agenda

Mr. Herald moved approval of the agenda as submitted. Mr. Iams seconded the motion. Passed 5-0.

E. Approval Of Minutes

1. September 7, 2017

Mr. Iams moved approval of the September 7, 2017 meeting minutes as written. Mr. Herald seconded the motion. Passed 4-0. (Vice Chair Sale abstained.)

2. February 1, 2018

Mr. Iams moved approval of the February 1, 2018 meeting minutes as written. Mr. DiQuinzio seconded the motion. Passed 5-0.
