Anne Arundel County issued the following announcement on May 31.
Arundel TV took home two Telly Awards for documentary productions about local history.
"Our production team has created fantastic programming over the last four years, from recruitment commercials for our police and fire departments, to public service announcements about recycling and heroin misuse," County Executive Steve Schuh said. "This is a well-deserved honor."
The awards were presented for "History: 100 Years of Fort George G. Meade" and "A Race Against Time: Maryland Archeology and the Quest to Recover History." The programs were produced by Broadcast and Digital Media Officer Dave Abrams, Cisco Davis and Dale Boyer.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after. With the recent evolution and rise of digital video (web series, VR, 360 and beyond), the Telly Awards today also reflects and celebrates this exciting new era of the moving image on and offline.
The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens.
