ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY: Anne Arundel County Government to Observe a Moment of Silence for Victims of Capital Gazette Shooting

Anne Arundel County issued the following announcement on July 5.

Anne Arundel County government employees will join newsrooms around the world for a moment of silence TODAY at 2:33 pm Thursday, July 5th, in honor of the victims of last week's Capital Gazette shooting.

At the flagpole outside Arundel Center at 44 Calvert Street in Annapolis, County Executive Steve Schuh will join county employees for a small gathering remembering those lost in the tragedy. Other County office complexes will hold similar gatherings.

“At times like this, it is crucial we come together as a community,” said County Executive Steve Schuh. “I am encouraging employees across County government to join us in remembering these fallen journalists.”
