Anne Arundel County Public Library recently issued the following announcement.
Join Balena Canto for an extra special story hour. Craft a tiara or wand and then circle around as Balena shares stories and songs. It’s sure to be fun for the whole family!
Drag Queen Story Time is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. It gives kids glamorous, positive and proudly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish and where dress up is real.
As with all of our preschool programs, children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
