Anne Arundel County Board of Appeals met Aug. 7.

Present: Mr. Forgo, Chairman, Mr. Devlin, Mr. Dove, Mr. Hare and Ms. Baker Blackshear, Members.
Cathleen F. Ward, Counsel to the Board.
Absent: Mr. Middlebrooks, Vice Chairman, and Mr. Breitenbach, Member.
The Board of Appeals (the Board) met on the above date for its scheduled meeting at 6:30 P.M. in the Arundel Center to conduct business as follows:
The meeting (open session) was called to order at 6:32 P.M. The Board took action(s) as shown below:
A. BA 22-18V, William R. Speiden - Hearing
The Board convened to hear testimony on BA 22-18V, William R. Speiden.
Mr. Robert Miller, Petitioner's attorney, made a motion to dismiss based on lack of standing. The Protestant, Ms. Julie Johnson, opposed the motion. The County attorney, Ms. Lauren Troxell, concurred with the motion.
Mr. Dove made a motion, seconded by Mr. Hare, to grant the dismissal. The motion carried unanimously.
B. BA 19-18A, The Key School Inc.– Postponement Request
Mr. David M. Plott, Petitioner's attorney, submitted a Request for Postponement to allow time to execute an agreement with the County. Mr. Gregory J. Swain, County attorney, had no objection.
Mr. Hare made a motion, seconded by Mr. Dove, to grant the postponement request. The motion carried unanimously.
The Board adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
