Anne Arundel County issued the following announcement on Sept. 28.
Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh, along with other County officials, will host the Annual Hispanic Health Festival and Resource Day, the largest celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month in the County.
“Our County is home to a growing Hispanic population and this festival will help connect residents to services,” said Schuh. “Events like this help build stronger bonds between the Hispanic community and County government.”
The event aims to benefit the Hispanic/Latino community of Anne Arundel County, its surrounding areas, and the community at large. This year, officials will continue to offer access to health care services for underserved communities and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals, by healthcare providers from various NGOs and local and state government agencies. In addition, educational and informational services will be provided allowing individuals to be acquainted and procure local community resources.
The festival will take place Saturday, September 29 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Heritage Community Church, 8146 Quarterfield Road in Severn.
