Anne Arundel County Public Library issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.

Meeting Room Sign Up Delayed Until November 19

While progress is being made to recover from a recent cyber attack and restore all services, Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) officials today announced that some branch locations’ public computers will not be available through November 10.

Repairs are expected to be completed today at the Glen Burnie, Odenton, Crofton and Severna Park libraries. This means these branches will once again provide public computers and Wi-Fi as well as in branch printing, faxing, copying and scanning services starting Saturday, November 3. Work at the remaining 12 branches is expected to be completed by Friday, November 10.

All 16 library branches are open for checking out materials, programs and for use by the community. The library’s online catalog and electronic resources remain unaffected by the outages.

With the uncertainty surrounding the completion of repairs at all branches, library officials have delayed the scheduled meeting room signup launch from Monday, November 5 to Monday, November 19. Community groups and individuals will be able to reserve library meeting rooms starting November 19 for events from January-May 2019. Library meeting room reservations for events in June – December 2019 can be made starting April 1, 2019.

Customers are encouraged to check the library’s Facebook (https:/www.facebook.com/aacpl) or Twitter (@aacpl) pages or call their local branch to confirm what services are available during the continued repairs.
