Anne Arundel County Public Library issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.

Officials with theAnne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) today announced that public computers at all branches are now available for use. Library computers had been unavailable at some branches since October 2 when the library suffered a cyber attack.

Although the public computers are functioning, printing, copying, faxing and scanning services are currently available only at the Brooklyn Park, Glen Burnie, Odenton and Severna Park libraries. Library staff and contractors are working to restore these services at the remaining branches. Due to the fluid nature of the continued repair work, customers are encouraged to call their branch for the most up to date information on library business services.

“We greatly appreciate the patience our customers have shown during this attack as we work to become fully operational,” said Library CEO Hampton “Skip” Auld.

Community groups and individuals are reminded that meeting room reservations for the first five months of 2019 will begin on Monday, December 3. Library meeting room reservations for events in June – December 2019 can be made starting April 1, 2019.
