Broadneck High School issued the following announcement on Dec. 4.
Today, Jennifer Plack has announced her retirement as Head Field Hockey coach at Broadneck High School. Mrs. Plack has been a part of our Broadneck Field Hockey program for 19 years serving as an assistant coach before being hired in 2006 as Head Coach. In 12 seasons as Head Coach her team won 150 games that included back to back County Championships in 2007 and 2008, several in season County Championships, and 4 Regional Final appearances.
From Athletic Director Ken Kazmarek:
“During Mrs. Plack’s tenure Broadneck Field Hockey was always a perennial state power and her program was synonymous with success. In addition to her success Mrs. Plack also developed a special bond with her student-athletes. She will be remembered for being a caring and compassionate coach who made each of her players feel important. I’m confident that I speak for all our current and former players in saying she will be greatly missed from the sidelines at Broadneck.”
Broadneck High School is accepting applications and will begin interviews in January.
