Anne Arundel County Board of Education issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.
The printed Parent Calendar distributed at the outset of the school year contains one error and one omission in the month of January. The calendar:
Does not indicate that AACPS schools and offices are closed on Monday, January 21, 2019, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. All schools and offices are, in fact, closed on Monday, January 21, 2019.
Indicates a two-hour early dismissal on Monday, January 28, 2019. This is not the case. All schools will operate on normal schedules on Monday, January 28, 2019. (Schools will dismiss two hours early on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 29 and 30, 2019).
