11 percent of applicants to Johns Hopkins University were admitted for fall 2018

At Johns Hopkins University, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Baltimore enrolled 26,152 students in fall 2018, including 6,064 in undergraduate and 20,088 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

9 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maryland, and 79 percent are residents of other states. 11 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (33 percent) and Asian (25 percent).

The school admitted 11 percent of the 29,776 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 41 percent enrolled.
