Cost of college went up for all students at St. John's College

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at St. John's College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Maryland students paid $53,343 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,548 more than the $51,795 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 123 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.4 million and 75 students took out student loans totaling more than $492,691.

Including all undergraduates (527), 443 students used grants or scholarships totaling $16.6 million, and 233 students took out $2.4 million in federal student loans.
