The first half of 2021: Home prices in Baltimore increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Baltimore rose by $56,066 while total sales increased by 78%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 8,918 homes sold, with a median sale price of $134,379 - a 71.6% increase over the $78,313 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 5,010 homes sold in Baltimore in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Baltimore for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,490, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
