U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen and Congressmen Steny H. Hoyer, Dutch Ruppersberger, John Sarbanes, Kweisi Mfume, Jamie B. Raskin, David Trone, and Glenn Ivey (all D-Md.) on June 26, 2023 announced $267,738,400 in Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funding for the state of Maryland to expand access to affordable, reliable, high-speed broadband. This new federal investment is part of the Biden-Harris administration’s Internet for Allinitiative and will ensure that Marylanders have the skills, devices, and access they need to utilize affordable, high-speed reliable internet.
